John,
House Republicans are preparing to dismantle our nation's critical chemical safety law.
This proposal would gut key provisions in the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), a move that would undermine an overwhelmingly popular law protecting Americans from the most dangerous chemicals. These rollbacks would expose our most vulnerable, including children, pregnant women and industrial workers to potentially dangerous chemicals.
That’s why we need your help to defeat it. Message your Representative and urge them to fight back against this toxic proposal!

TSCA has been largely successful over the last decade thanks to EPA’s ability to evaluate and regulate chemicals. These key provisions and authorities given to EPA protect the public from long term exposure to harmful chemicals that can result in serious health impacts like cancer, asthma, infertility and other chronic conditions.
But the House Republicans’ proposal would shortcut the evaluation process, allowing more chemicals — like PFAS (aka forever chemicals) — to come to market without a proper safety review. The proposal guts EPA’s authority and ability to review both new chemicals entering the market, and dangerous existing chemicals that are already on the market. That’s why we need your help to rally against it.
Weakening the commonsense safeguards, like the Toxic Substances Control Act, would only put Americans’ health at risk. Help us defend public health by sending a message today.
