John,
After one year of Trump back in office, the direction of his economic agenda is clear. Our new report, Trump’s Terrible 2025, documents how Trump’s tax policies overwhelmingly favor those at the top.[1]
Independent analysis shows that only the 10% highest-income households are projected to come out ahead over time from Trump’s tax-and-spending agenda. Everyone else pays more once higher prices and weaker public services are taken into account. That includes healthcare coverage being stripped away, nutrition assistance being cut, and tax enforcement being gutted so wealthy individuals and corporations can avoid paying what they owe. For most families, that means thousands of dollars in additional costs with nothing to show for it.
Americans for Tax Fairness Action Fund is fighting back by exposing this agenda in real time. We are connecting tax giveaways at the top to real-world harm everywhere else. We are forcing accountability into budget debates, media coverage, and congressional offices that would rather avoid it. This report lays out the full scope of the damage from Trump’s first year back, across healthcare, public services, prices, and tax fairness.
Will you make a contribution today to power our accountability work so we can expose who benefits from Trump’s billionaire-first agenda and who pays the price?
Trump’s agenda drains trillions in public revenue, then uses the damage as justification to cut services people rely on. Healthcare. Nutrition assistance. Public investments. Medicaid cuts alone could strip coverage from 10 to 15 million people. Millions more are expected to lose insurance after enhanced ACA tax credits were allowed to expire January 1st. Rising energy, utility, and insurance costs continue to squeeze household budgets, even as job growth slows sharply.
This work matters because Trump’s allies are trying to lock in these policies for years to come while the public is distracted by Trump’s attacks at home and abroad. They want the economic damage normalized and forgotten. Americans for Tax Fairness Action Fund exists to make sure that does not happen.
Your support helps keep the pressure on as Trump and Republicans continue to push his billionaire-first agenda. It fuels the research and activism needed to challenge false narratives and expose the real consequences of these policies. It ensures that working people are not shut out of a fight dominated by billionaire and corporate interests.

[1] TRUMP’S TERRIBLE 2025: The Worst Economic Actions & Omissions of the First Year of Trump’s Return
-- David's email --
John,
One year into Donald Trump’s second term, Americans for Tax Fairness released a new report that tells the truth about his economic agenda. The report, Trump’s Terrible 2025, makes it unmistakably clear that Trump is once again using the tax code and economic policy to enrich the wealthy while shifting higher costs and deeper insecurity onto working families.[1]
Tax breaks are increasingly skewed toward billionaires and large corporations, with loopholes that reward accumulated wealth instead of work. At the same time, Trump and Republicans slashed IRS enforcement, letting wealthy tax cheats off the hook and draining hundreds of billions in revenue that could have been invested in public priorities.
When Trump’s tax changes are combined with his tariffs and spending cuts, only the top 10% of households are projected to see higher after-tax incomes over time. The bottom 90% are left paying an average of $13,600 more through higher prices and reduced benefits. That includes rising healthcare costs, higher utility bills, and more expensive insurance as basic household costs continue to climb.
Americans for Tax Fairness Action Fund is not standing by while this happens. Through our research, reporting, and activism, we’re actively challenging Trump’s agenda in real time. Our team is pushing our findings directly to Congress, to the media, and to ongoing budget and tax fights.
Will you donate today to help power the fight to hold Trump accountable and expose who benefits, who pays, and what gets cut in Trump’s billionaire-first agenda?
Trump’s second term is still being shaped. The narrative about his economic record is not finished. If the truth does not break through now, his policies that harm working people could remain in place for years to come.
The damage is already spreading. Trump and Republicans allowed enhanced Affordable Care Act tax credits to expire January 1st. As a result, millions of people are expected to lose coverage, while working people and families who remain insured face sharply higher monthly premiums. And this comes just months after Trump and Republicans made the largest cut to Medicaid in the program’s history, threatening healthcare access for tens of millions of people.
Your support right now fuels an active counteroffensive. It supports deep research when new tax and budget proposals drop. It strengthens our ability to brief reporters and lawmakers with hard facts. And it helps us cut through distraction to keep the focus where Trump wants it least, on who is really cashing in and who is paying the price.
Trump and his billionaire allies are betting on confusion, exhaustion, and silence. Americans for Tax Fairness Action Fund exists to make sure that bet fails. From healthcare to nutrition assistance to tax enforcement, we are forcing a full accounting of what Trump’s first year back in office has actually delivered.
Power our research and activism to help hold Trump accountable and fight for an economy that puts working people first, not the wealthy few. Donate today.
