Lead the fight to end the drug war in 2026 ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌

Friend,

It’s officially 2026, but unfortunately the obstacles of the last year did not end with the new year.

Just last week, the Trump administration nearly terminated almost $2 billion in funding for front-line health services, overdose prevention, and recovery programs nationwide. As soon as we got word of these cuts, DPA and our community fought back and the funding was restored.

The consequences for Americans struggling with addiction or mental health issues would have been devastating: closed health clinics, fewer treatment beds, longer waitlists, missed medication doses, and reduced access to lifesaving tools like naloxone. That’s why it was important we did everything we could to protect it.

Unfortunately, despite the public outcry, this funding is still at risk. Cuts could still happen in other ways that are designed to attract less attention and public scrutiny. So, we must remain vigilant and prepared to defend this vital funding that helps keep our communities safe and alive.

That’s why we’re asking you to join the Reformers Club as one of our newest monthly supporters.

And right now if you become a Reformer before 1/31, your first three monthly gifts will be matched—up to $5,000!

Reformers play such an important role in the movement. By giving monthly, you provide the reliable and consistent funding DPA needs to mobilize on a moment’s notice — whether that’s fighting for life-saving overdose prevention services and evidence-based treatment, pushing forward badly needed federal marijuana reform, or advocating for community-led programs that prioritize care, not more punishment.

Given what’s at stake for our communities, that reliable stream of support means everything.

So much of our progress is under attack across the federal government — decades of advocacy to shift the conversation from punishment to health, overdose prevention, and care.

But every day, DPA keeps fighting to advance programs and policies that put health, care, and community first — like access to naloxone, fentanyl test strips, medications for opioid use disorder, and low-barrier treatment.

Your support ensures we can keep building this future where people, regardless of drug use, can live full, healthy lives, Friend.

Joining the Reformers Club will power DPA’s organizing through 2026 and beyond, especially when your first three monthly gifts are matched!

It’s up to this movement to turn back this dangerous new wave of the drug war and keep creating the safer, fairer, and healthier world we’ve been fighting for.

Will you help us deliver the future all our communities deserve?

Onward,

P.S. If this isn’t the right time for you to join the Reformers Club, your one-time gift will still be matched before January 31!
