John,
For months, we’ve seen ICE agents kidnap, beat, terrorize, and kill our community members.
We’ve witnessed it with our own eyes. Millions have banded together to reject ICE and resist their escalations.
And yet, as early as tomorrow, Congress is preparing to vote on a bill that would increase funding for this rogue agency.
It’s abhorrent. And we have an extraordinarily small window of opportunity to make our voices heard.
That’s why we need you to send an email to your representatives RIGHT NOW, and urge them to vote against this DHS and ICE funding bill. Just click the link and follow the steps.

We can’t stop there, however. This Friday, January 23rd, Minnesotans are coming together for a statewide day of action: no work, no school, no shopping. And we’re calling on everyone — no matter where you live — to join them in solidarity if you can. See a list of actions you can take here.

Too many politicians don't even view ICE’s violence as a problem — they’re cheering it on.
And many prominent Democrats think that this is an issue that can be fixed by simply expanding training requirements or handing out more body cameras.
But body cameras would not have saved the life of Renee Good, who was executed in broad daylight, surrounded by cell phones, cameras, and recording devices.
They would not have saved the life of Geraldo Lunas Campos, who was choked to death by guards at a detention facility in Texas on January 3rd.1
They would not have prevented ICE thugs from hospitalizing children with flashbang grenades and tear gas.2
And more training wouldn’t stop a rogue government agency like ICE, who have already been told they’re operating above the law. Writing them a bigger check is only going to increase the frequency and intensity of their violence against our communities.
So please, send an email to your representatives RIGHT NOW. We have a narrow window to make our voices heard before tomorrow’s scheduled vote.
And then, join the nationwide day of action this Friday, January 23rd, and stand in solidarity with the people of Minnesota.
Thank you for being with us in this fight, John.
In solidarity,
Team WFP
