And the 1776 Project Foundation just filed a lawsuit that could strike a major blow against a discriminatory program in the second LARGEST school district in AMERICA.

In 2025, the 1776 Project Foundation was made aware of an allegedly discriminatory initiative called the “Predominantly Hispanic, Black, Asian, or other Non-Anglo (PHBAO) Program.”
This program, designed by the Los Angeles Unified School District, was built to award schools with a 70% “Predominantly Hispanic, Black, Asian, or other Non-Anglo” student population special awards.
If your school’s racial demographics are too White or Middle Eastern, your school would be disqualified from receiving benefits like REDUCED CLASSROOM SIZE and MORE FUNDING for teachers.
Put simply, LAUSD has implemented a system that benefits or penalizes students based on race… we believe this is Unconstitutional and ILLEGAL.
… And the 1776 Project Foundation is taking immediate action in suing the Los Angeles Unified School District in an effort to shut down this program.
But this case won’t just impact Los Angeles.
It won’t just impact California.
