In California, a man who disarmed an alleged attacker and shot him is
now behind bars himself: LOS ANGELES MAN DISARMS ALLEGED ATTACKER,
FATALLY SHOOTS HIM — THEN GETS ARRESTED [10].
And in Alabama, a stray round tragically injured an innocent bystander
after an early-morning fight turned deadly: ALABAMA MAN KILLED,
BYSTANDER HURT BY STRAY BULLET IN HUNTSVILLE SHOOTING [11].
Both of these raise tough questions about decision-making, legal
