Friend,

We’ve seen plenty of attacks on our public lands since Trump took office a year ago, but this one is a direct hit on a national treasure.

A new effort is underway in Congress to reverse the 20-year mining ban in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. Last week, Representative Pete Stauber introduced HJ Res. 140, a resolution designed to wipe away protections for one of the most pristine watersheds on Earth.

By using the Congressional Review Act to overturn land protections, MAGA Members of Congress are attempting to bypass science and public input. If they succeed here, no public land in America—from your local national forest to our most iconic wilderness areas—will be safe from a political "undo" button.

Thousands of jobs depend on the clean water and healthy forests of the Boundary Waters. Local communities rely on the outdoor recreation economy to thrive. And future generations deserve to experience the same untouched wilderness we have today.

Right now, we need to show Congress that the people of this country will not stand for the destruction of the Boundary Waters.

We are gathering thousands of signatures to send a message that we want the Boundary Waters protected. Will you add your name to let us know you oppose HJ Res. 140? [ [link removed] ]

We have a responsibility to be stewards of these lands, not liquidators. Stand with us to ensure the Boundary Waters remain protected for the long haul.

For the wild,
