Donald Trump just said anything less than Greenland “in the hands” of the United States is “unacceptable.” This is absolutely insane!

Then he threatened our European and NATO allies with a 10% tariff (which is only going to make things more expensive here at home) ... because he did not get a Nobel Peace Prize.

U.S. foreign policy cannot be decided purely based on Donald Trump’s ego. As much as Trump claims he wants Greenland to open it up for mining, that’s clearly not actually what is going on here. Greenland has actively courted foreign investment in mining before, but the reason companies aren’t interested is that it can be five or ten times more expensive to mine there because of the harsh Arctic conditions.
