Hi friends,
It’s official. Donald Trump has been back in office for one year, and if you’re feeling angry, frustrated, or fed up with his nonsense, I understand. I am, too.
One thing I’m not feeling though is hopeless. Instead, I’m feeling fired up, motivated, and more hopeFUL than ever.
Because I’ve got tens of thousands of people like you on my team. Thanks to you, a new poll shows our race for U.S. Senate here in Michigan is tied. But I’m not planning on staying tied – I’m planning to win.
Together, we’re going to keep Michigan blue, take back the Senate for Democrats this November, and stop Donald Trump in his tracks.
I’m not saying it’s going to be easy, and I know the last year has been tough for so many of us. It’s no secret Donald Trump’s cruel policies and reckless agenda have hurt families and communities in Michigan and every corner of the country.
Let’s review:
📉 He gutted Medicaid and cut health insurance subsidies.
🧪 He installed RFK Jr., a dangerous conspiracy theorist, as HHS secretary.
💸 He enacted reckless tariffs that raised prices and cost families an average of more than $1,600 in 2025.
❌ He deployed the military in U.S. cities.
🥶 And he’s done nothing to lower costs for working people – here in Michigan or anywhere else. In fact, he said last year he “couldn’t care less” if auto prices go up.
Last year, I defended science, fought to lower costs, and delivered real results for Michigan families, including over $13 million returned to Michiganders in my district. At the start of my career, I helped save 200,000 Michigan jobs during President Obama’s auto rescue. And since then, I’ve spent my career fighting for the good people who keep this state running.
As we kick off the second year of this administration, Donald Trump is hell-bent on maintaining his MAGA cronies’ control of the Senate so he can keep doing whatever the heck he wants with ZERO pushback or consequences. After his visit to Detroit last week, he made it clear he’s already laser-focused on our race.
But – and this is important – we have the power to stop him. It starts by keeping Michigan blue, and it’s going to take ALL of us to do it.
Michigan’s Senate race is as mission critical as it gets, and that’s why it’s a top target for the GOP.
The Cook Political Report ranks it a Toss Up. Analysts at The Hill say we’re one of the most likely to flip red, so now Trump’s megadonor friends, including a Texas oil billionaire, are spending millions to buy this seat for MAGA Mike Rogers.
But the good news is that poll after poll shows I’m the strongest Democrat to beat Rogers – and as I mentioned, the latest one shows us TIED. Our race is neck and neck – so we’re hustling.
Because if we win this seat, we can flip the Senate, make Trump a lame duck president for the rest of his term, and STOP the worst of his MAGA agenda from going into effect.
