Last week, a Trump Administration official, Brooke Rollins, said one of the most ridiculous things I’ve ever heard: “We've run over 1,000 simulations. It can cost around $3 a meal for a piece of chicken, a piece of broccoli, corn tortilla, and one other thing. [[link removed]] ”

In other words, the Trump administration believes this is a sufficient meal for the average American:

Thanks to the Trump Administration’s reckless tariffs and extreme agenda, grocery prices are SKYROCKETING, and families across Oregon are feeling the squeeze.

On top of that, Trump himself said that the American people’s concerns about affordability are “a hoax.”

I’ve had hundreds of conversations with constituents in OR-06, and one thing is clear: Oregonians are struggling and are desperate for change.
