Republicans in California just filed an emergency appeal with the Supreme Court to block CA’s new voter-approved congressional map.

Proposition 50, The Election Rigging Response Act, was passed by voters with a nearly 30 point margin, 64.6% (yes) to 35.4% (no). 

The people said loud and clear they disapprove of Trump’s cynical attempt to try and rig the outcome of the 2026 midterm election —  but MAGA Republicans are using every tool at their disposal to silence their voices.

MAGA’s emergency appeal to the Supreme Court has the potential to completely upend Democrats’ efforts to counter Trump’s election rigging campaign at the worst possible time. 

John, this is a dangerous moment for our democracy and our work to ensure the upcoming midterm election is both free and fair. 

If we don’t respond quickly to these threats and push even more blue states to redistrict, we risk losing all the momentum we have right now. 

Democratic leaders in blue state Colorado have a duty to redraw our maps, eliminating 3-4 GOP seats (including Lauren Boebert’s district, CO-04). Colorado Draws The Line is leading the ballot committee to allow voters to approve emergency redistricting in Colorado.
