Trump is at the World Economic Forum conference in Davos today. It’s an important moment in history: Trump is threatening to take over Greenland and upend the international order. He continues to slap huge tariffs on our allies, driving up prices for Americans. The US economy is precarious at best. Canada’s Prime Minister gave a rousing rebuke to Trump from the podium yesterday. Everyone is watching to see what Trump says.

But of course, Trump uses this critical moment to attack me. Because he is obsessed with me.

And over the last weeks, and really the last few months, he just can’t keep my name out of his mouth. In the Oval Office, in front of the press pool, at speeches and rallies, he simply cannot stop himself from constantly attacking me, spreading conspiracy theories, and putting a target on the back of my community.

I’ll be honest, I haven’t had time to respond to each attack because my district and my state is under a brutal ICE occupation. Every day, my constituents are being harassed, assaulted, detained, and terrorized. That’s where my focus is, and where it will be until ICE gets the hell out of Minnesota.

But as we work to defend our neighbors and seek accountability, Trump’s attacks bring a wave of right-wing hatred and harassment to me and my community.

That’s why I’m reaching out to you today to humbly ask that you have my back as I continue to face these attacks head on and fight for my home, the great state of Minnesota.
