Hello Friends, 

There’s a lot going on in our community and state right now. I spoke to the impact of the federal government’s actions on Shakopee in my update last week [ [link removed] ], and on top of all of that, the 2026 Legislative Session begins on February 17. 

To touch base on the needs of our community going into session, and to hear directly from you, I’ll be holding a Virtual Town Hall on *Tuesday, January 27, at 7:00pm*, and I hope you can make it!

I’m asking our neighbors to RSVP here to receive the Zoom login information [ [link removed] ], which we’ll share the day of the Town Hall. Let us know if you can join us, and feel free to share any specific topics you’d like us to cover pertaining to the upcoming legislative session.

In the House, we have also compiled immigration resources, and they are available for our neighbors in English, Spanish [ [link removed] ], Somali [ [link removed] ], and Hmong [ [link removed] ]. 

Regardless of whether you can join us on Tuesday, always feel free to reach out with any questions, comments, or ideas you have for Shakopee and Minnesota.
