On January 7th, ICE agents shot and killed Renee Nicole Good in Minneapolis.
When asked why, Trump called her "disrespectful." Protests erupted nationwide.

This matters for Virginia.

In the past year, ICE has made over 6,600 arrests across the Commonwealth.
Virginia ranks in the top ten states for immigration arrests per capita. The
Chantilly detention facility is severely overcrowded, with detainees held for
days without beds, showers, or adequate food.

Northern Virginia communities from Falls Church to Woodbridge have been living
with this reality since January 2025. The tactics are the same. The risks are
the same.

What happened in Minneapolis can happen here. Virginia voters will remember who
stayed silent.
