In a moment, I’m going to ask you to make a contribution to Juliana Stratton’s campaign for U.S. Senate. But first, please give me a chance to explain why your support, especially right now, is so important.

In less than 2 months, Illinois will have its primary election. Voters from across the state will show up to vote for our next U.S. Senator, and someone will be chosen to be my partner here in Illinois and in Washington. That partner will help me take on the tough fights ahead against Donald Trump and his authoritarianism.

I can say this without a doubt of uncertainty: The partner I need in the Senate with me is Juliana Stratton.

I’ve known Juliana for a while. She’s served our state for years, and has been our Lieutenant Governor during some of the toughest times we’ve seen in recent history. She’s defended Illinois against ICE, delivered for middle class families by helping raise the minimum wage, as well as eliminating the state grocery tax, and she has never given up on advocating for YOU.

Juliana is in this race for the right reasons, and she’s the best candidate to join me in the Senate.

In times like these, when Trump defies our democracy and its people, the most important thing each one of us can do is to show up and make our voices heard. At the polls, with your friends and family, and by supporting candidates who won’t flinch under pressure—candidates like Juliana.
