Join the national community call TONIGHT with the National Immigrant Justice Center (NIJC), Amnesty International USA, American Civil Liberties Union, National Immigration Law Center, Detention Watch Network, Public Citizen, National Partnership for New Americans, Church World Service, Human Rights First, and the Fair Immigrant Reform Movement to demand Congress cut funding for ICE! 

Congress will vote THIS WEEK on its fiscal year 2026 bill to fund the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), which would add more funds for the deadly immigration detention and deportation system.

As we all remain horrified by the images out of Minnesota and continue to see our immigrant family, friends, and neighbors live in fear, we must come together in community and stand against the cruelty. During the call, we'll talk about how you can take action and tell your members of Congress to stop enabling ICE and Border Patrol’s cruelty and instead invest in our communities.

Congress already handed DHS a windfall of $170 billion dollars to supersize its deportation force and detention apparatus. Thanks to this blank check, ICE says it already has enough money to detain over 100,000 people at a time and contract 80,000 new beds. 2025 was the deadliest year ever for people in ICE detention, and six people have died in ICE detention just this month. We must demand an end to the violence and terror.
