They often go days without adequate food, not knowing where their next meal will come from.

Your gift today will impact people like Maryam*. She lives in a closed Middle Eastern country embroiled in civil war — a place many have called one of the world’s worst humanitarian crises.

When life became too difficult, Maryam’s husband left her and their four children. He told her that he could no longer bear the burden of providing for their family.

Today, Maryam and her children live in a camp for the internally displaced. They piece together cardboard, tarps and whatever else they can find for shelter. They lack life’s most basic items, like food and clothing.

When a local Unto partner arrived in the camp with meals, Maryam’s face lit up with joy. She was so grateful to receive a one-month supply of food for her family.

She thanked the team repeatedly and told them, “The food has lifted a heavy weight from my shoulders — I can now feed my children for the coming month without fear of them going hungry.”
