We’re hearing from LGBTQ+ young people that they’re feeling a wide range of emotions, including uncertainty and increased anxiety. The Trevor Project is here for them. Your gift today will help ensure our free, secure, 24/7 crisis intervention services are available to LGBTQ+ youth when they reach out to us via phone, chat, or text.

Trevor’s recent Project SPARK report found that depressive symptoms for LGBTQ+ young people climbed from 48% to 54% and suicidal ideation has increased from 41% to 47%. They are struggling, Friend.

In recent years, we’ve seen record-breaking waves of anti-LGBTQ+ legislation considered in states across the country. We can’t ignore the impact that this has had on the mental health of the LGBTQ+ young people we serve — and transgender and nonbinary youth especially.

In fact, in states where anti-trans laws were enacted, trans and non-binary youth reported up to a 72% increase in past-year suicide attempts compared to those living in states without such laws.

Your gift helps to make possible our advocacy work, research, education programs, and TrevorSpace peer support. All of these areas help create welcoming environments for LGBTQ+ youth to be able to envision their own bright futures.
