John,
Over the weekend, one of us on the team was walking through Burlington when we had to stop in our tracks.
On the sidewalk, in front of a home, there was a small chalkboard sign that simply read: “SUPPORT + THANK BECCA BALINT”

No press. No cameras. Just someone in the neighborhood who felt moved enough to put out a sign and say thank you. And honestly? We felt it too.
Because right now, Becca is doing exactly what Vermonters sent her to Congress to do: showing up, speaking out, and refusing to stay quiet when people are being hurt — even when that means getting on a plane and going all the way to Minnesota to demand answers about what ICE is doing in our communities.
If you believe in THAT kind of leadership, will you click here and chip in $5, $15, $25, or whatever you can right now to help Becca keep up the good fight? The truth is, we need every supporter with us in this moment.
Becca didn’t go to Minnesota for headlines. She went because Minnesotans were asking for help. Because people's rights are on the line. Because accountability shouldn’t stop at state lines.
She’s held town halls in Republican districts when no one else would. She’s stood shoulder to shoulder with communities under threat. And in Minnesota, she said what too many leaders are afraid to say out loud — that what’s happening isn’t about “enforcement,” it’s about fear, intimidation, and punishment.
She told the people there: “You are the center of America’s heartbreak right now — and you are the center of America’s courage.”
That’s who Becca is. She sees people. She listens. And then she acts.
At the hearing, after speaking about immigrants, about LGBTQ+ families, about people of color being told their lives matter less, she added something that made the room laugh — and made it clear exactly who she is:
She called herself a “scrappy little dyke” and said she’s not going to be intimidated.
That mix of fierce and deeply human? That’s Becca. And that’s exactly why she’s willing to walk into hard rooms and say the things that need to be said.
But we all know that standing up like that takes resources. It takes a strong team. It takes supporters who have her back when she’s holding powerful people accountable.
So if that sidewalk sign spoke to you the way it spoke to us, please take a moment to turn that “thank you” into action by clicking here today!
THANK BECCA TODAY
Becca shows up when it’s hard. She shows up when it’s uncomfortable. And every day, she does it knowing people like you are standing with her.
From that chalkboard on the sidewalk to this email in your inbox — thank you for being part of the community that makes this work possible.
Always with you in this fight,
—Team Becca Balint
