Dear Mr. xxxxxx,
Rep. Roy’s Amendment to Defund the D.C. Federal Courts in FSGG Appropriations
Last week, the House voted on my amendment to the Financial Services and General Government (FSGG) appropriations bill, which would have defunded the D.C. federal courts by 20% and reduced the office and operations budgets for two rogue judges to $0. For far too long, Washington D.C.’s swamp has funded an insidious court system that has weaponized judicial power for political means. Particularly egregious has been Judges Boasberg’s and Boardman’s use of the gavel to dictate policy of national consequence.
Judge Boasberg has used his seat on the D.C. federal court to sanction the state surveillance of Republican elected officials and ordered previously deported MS-13 gang members back to America. Judge Boardman has used her seat to insert “gender ideology” into her work, sentencing Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s would-be assassin to only eight years in prison, not the recommended 30, because of his “gender identity.” The D.C. court system has halted billions in reductions to wasteful programs and continuously impeded lawful executive actions by the Trump Administration. My response is unequivocal: if judges refuse to be impartial, defund them. Unfortunately, my amendment did not pass, with 46 Republicans joining 211 Democrats to defeat it.
“I voted against today’s appropriations bills because they provide $6 billion to the federal courts with no safeguards against judicial activism or weaponization, allocate millions of dollars for DEI programs at the Small Business Administration, and funnel billions of taxpayer dollars overseas to NGOs that fund open borders and abortion, while our national debt exceeds $38 trillion.
I was pleased that my amendment to defund the D.C. federal courts, including Judge Boasberg’s and Judge Boardman’s offices and operations, received a vote on the House floor. Unfortunately, the amendment failed, with 46 Republicans voting against."- Rep. Roy

More Amendments and Pork in the Appropriations Package
In addition to my amendment to the appropriations package, Representative Eli Crane (R-AZ) also offered an amendment to defund the $300 million+ allocated for the National Endowment for Democracy (NED). NED has consistently undermined U.S. foreign policy objectives by attacking populist movements, facilitating abortion, and promoting globalism. Unfortunately, this amendment also failed, with 81 Republicans joining Democrats in voting against it. Additionally, the appropriations package allocated over $35 million to DEI programs at the Small Business Administration, and millions of dollars in congressional earmarks to Democrat supporting entities.
Rep Roy on the Appropriations Package: "The American people are fed up with a federal government that is increasingly weaponized against them, and Congress should not continue funding and empowering the very systems used to undermine their rights and liberties."

Speech on the House Floor
Last week, I spoke on the House Floor and addressed the scourge of violence committed by illegal aliens against our citizenry. We have seen too many horrific examples, from Laken Riley to Jocelyn Nungaray. In my speech, I showed my colleagues the faces of these victims of illegal alien crime and outlined what must be done in response. I also showed the examples of the perpetrators, like those out of the sanctuary state of Minnesota, where ICE recently arrested dozens of criminal illegal aliens convicted of murder, child rape, and more. I repeated my calls for Republicans to once again take up and pass H.R. 2, so we can codify the measures necessary to keep the border closed and work to prevent our citizens from being victimized by illegal alien criminals.
Rep. Roy on the House Floor: "And this is my message to my Republican colleagues: we have a choice this year. We can retreat and get in the mode of elections, or we can lead, and we can work, and right now codify the rules, the laws, the actions of the President to secure our border and ensure that no future president can abuse them. We can do that RIGHT NOW."

Stop Legislators from Day Trading
I was pleased to see that H.R.7008, the Stop Insider Trading Act made it out of committee last week and we are optimistic that it could soon be put up for a vote on the House Floor. This legislation bans Members of Congress from purchasing new positions in individual stocks, and requires advanced notice if Members wish to sell the positions they came into Congress with. If Members fail to follow these new, common-sense restrictions, they must either pay a $2,000 fine or a 10% penalty on top of surrendering any profit they made. I have been leading the fight on this issue for the last six years and this legislation is a great step forward in ending the practice of insider trading in the Halls of Congress.
Rep. Roy on the Congressional Stock Trading Bill: "If you're voting on defense issues, you shouldn't be voting on Palantir or Lockheed stock. If you're voting on tech issues or antitrust issues, you shouldn't be concerned about a Google portfolio. We've got a product that Republicans are rallying around, that I think might be able to get across the finish line in the House and the Senate."

Interview with Laura Ingram on Fox News on the Insurrection Act
I joined Laura Ingram on Fox News to discuss the potential of President Trump using the Insurrection Act to combat the violent scenes in Minnesota. President Trump has stood against the anarchy of leftist mobs and violence, and I encourage him to do so again. We cannot and will not be dictated to by the unruly injustices of leftist insurrectionism, and I wholly endorse the use of the Insurrection Act to quell these violent attacks against the rule of law in Minnesota.
Rep. Roy on Fox: “Of course, the president should use the Insurrection Act from 1807 to say, you know what, we can go out and stop this so we can enforce the law to protect the people of the United States under the Constitution."
You can watch my interview with Laura here.
Interview with Steve Bannon on War Room
Last week, I joined Steve Bannon on War Room to discuss my amendment to defund the D.C. courts and the need to fight back in the war against the Islamification of Texas and America. I highlighted my legislative actions, such as H.R.5722, the Preserving a Sharia Free America Act and H.R.6225, the PAUSE Act, to combat Islamification and halt all immigration. I also called on my colleagues to face the issue directly and move legislation to address this pressing issue.
Rep. Roy on War Room: “We're at war and the Islamification of Texas is the goal of the enemy.
We do not have a majority in Congress that understands that we're at war and by the way, they won't even acknowledge that we're at war.
So how do you win a war that you won't even acknowledge exists?"

ICE Agent Incident in San Antonio
Last week, reports from San Antonio relayed a terrible incident when an illegal alien from Cuba allegedly attempted to run down ICE agents, nearly killing one and injuring another. Thankfully, the illegal alien missed the officers but slammed into an ICE vehicle, then backed up and slammed into another ICE vehicle. My office is in contact with local ICE field offices and is monitoring the situation for updates. I thank our brave ICE agents for their service in an incredibly dangerous but vitally important job, and I look forward to the prosecution of this illegal alien criminal and the continuing deportation of illegal aliens. I pray for the full recovery of the injured ICE agent and justice to be done to the perpetrator.

Sincerely,
