I wanted to take a moment to share some news with you — both personal and professional.
First, a bit of personal joy. Our family recently welcomed our first grandchild, a grandson, and my heart is full in a way that’s hard to put into words! I’m a grandmother! Moments like this have a way of clarifying everything. They remind me why True the Vote’s work matters — for our children, for their children, and for the country they will one day inherit. We cannot fail.
Second, I’m excited to share that we’ve officially launched True the Vote NOW, our new C4 organization. This step gives us the ability to engage in ways we simply couldn’t before — to move faster, speak more directly, and press harder for accountability and real reform. It opens an important new channel for our work, and I’m grateful to be stepping into it with you.
That expanded capability matters now more than ever.
This week, I’m in Washington, D.C., meeting with allies and building momentum. What’s at stake is real. If liberty loses ground in Congress, hard-won progress will be rolled back almost immediately. That reality is shaping every conversation I’m having here, and it underscores just how urgent this work is as we look toward 2026.
I remember first coming to Washington as an activist in 2009. At the time, I was green — blissfully unaware of the odyssey ahead. I experience this city very differently now. There’s a weight, a darkness. You can sense it almost immediately. But the passion of history’s call is here, too. Yesterday, instead of heading to a meeting or my hotel, I went straight to Mount Vernon — to ground where real patriots walked, to a shared spirit that still lives within us.

And so, despite the darkness, I’ve come to build on something that gives me real hope: a small, serious group of people working quietly and deliberately toward real results. No theatrics. No posturing. Just focused, determined work to fix what’s broken.
That same seriousness is guiding us as we prepare for a season of significant growth at True the Vote. Our focus is simple and unapologetic: empowering citizens to secure election integrity locally. We are expanding our efforts to equip activists in their own communities with the tools they need — from registering eligible voters, to reviewing and challenging voter rolls, to being trained, mobilized, and ready to work inside the election process itself. This movement will not be sustained from Washington. It will be secured by informed, equipped citizens at the local level.
There is much work to be done, and this season feels urgent. I feel it deeply.
Thank you for coming on this journey with us. You make this work possible, and I never take that for granted.
God bless you, and God bless America. Keep the faith. Never quit.
