John,
We’re in a frightening and unprecedented moment of unrest in cities across the country. We’re witnessing a President with unchecked power, who is terrorizing our immigrant neighbors and arming a rogue enforcement agency with unlimited funds to rip families apart. Sadly, that won’t change with just one election. So we’re building an organizing program that’s about more than one election.
Since launching our campaign a month ago nearly 1,000 people have signed up to volunteer! I can’t tell you how grateful I am. If you’re already one of them, thank you! If not: Will you sign up to be our 1000th volunteer?
This moment requires all of us, working together, to stand up for the values we believe in, for our neighbors, for our democracy. Of course we’ll knock on doors, send texts, and make phone calls. But we’ll do more than that. Our campaign will be partnering with local organizations to protect our immigrant neighbors from ICE. To push against reckless imperial wars. And to support other progressive champions. |
Yesterday, I went to the Brooklyn Academy of Music to hear Rev. William Barber II preach about what Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. called the “triple-pronged sickness” of racism, poverty, and militarism as three interconnected evils, threatening our nation’s soul.
I joined the young dancers at DanceWave, who observed the holiday by making sandwiches with Gowanus Mutual Aid for CHIPS, a soup kitchen in the district. And later, I went to New Jersey to support Analilia Mejia a progressive champion running for Congress in the NJ-11 special election.
All of this is the work of organizing. Showing up and supporting the activists, faith leaders, caregivers and neighbors who will not let the turbulence of the moment shake their belief that a better future is possible if we’re willing to fight for it together.
I hope you will join me in this fight. Not just for one congressional seat, but as part of a community of organizers protecting our neighbors and working towards a country that uplifts all of us, not just those who can afford it. |

Brad is an organizer who brings neighbors together to win big fights, and a problem-solver who gets things done.
He’s been fighting for his neighbors for decades – as a dad, a housing organizer, our City Councilmember, and our Comptroller. He’s a proven legislator whose laws deliver for working people. In Congress, he’ll fight for all of us.
Brad is running for Congress because at this urgent moment, we need leaders who will fight, not fold.
Fight against an authoritarian federal government that is abducting our neighbors. Fight for a New York that is affordable and welcoming for everyone. Fight for an economy that isn’t stacked against us.
Fight to make government actually deliver on the promise of the American dream.
