Wear BLACK!
In order to finance taxpayer handouts to powerful corporations and wealthy investors (included in Trump’s "Big Beautiful Bill"), Oregon lawmakers are considering cuts. And yet again, our natural resources agencies like the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) and Department of Land Conservation and Development (DLCD) are on the chopping block. These agencies ensure that Oregonians have clean air and water, healthy oceans, and protected lands, and they are vital to our public health and community well-being. Our transportation and climate programs like heat pumps and electric vehicle rebates, are also on the line. Join us for a rally in Salem on Thursday, February 5th from 12pm-2pm.
The climate justice, transportation, and conservation communities are coming together with a broad coalition of progressive partners to rally in Salem and show lawmakers that Oregonians are counting on them to fund essential agencies and programs. We will rally in solidarity with labor, education, hunger, immigration, housing, choice advocates, and more. We need YOU to show up big for climate, transportation, conservation, wildlife, clean air and water, and make sure we stand out in the crowd.
More specific details will be shared closer to the event. Please feel free to invite other climate advocates and activists in your networks-- the more the merrier!
In solidarity,
