John,
Today marks one year since Donald Trump returned to the White House, and
it’s hard to overstate how much damage has been done.
In just the last year, we’ve watched:
* Working people fall behind as job growth and wage gains have gone
down.
* Tariffs drive up prices on everyday goods instead of making life more
affordable.
* Dangerous, unchecked militarism, with strikes and threats on Venezuela
and Yemen, carried out without congressional approval.
* ICE raids and abuse escalate, marked by violence, illegal arrests, and
families ripped apart, with absolutely no oversight and far too much
impunity.
The list could go on and on,
John.
But at LeftNet, we believe we are not powerless.
Real change won’t come
from doomscrolling or waiting for someone else to fix it. It’ll come from
people who will show up consistently and meaningfully. That means voting
in every election this year, talking with friends and neighbors about
what’s happening and what we can do to stop it, and helping people get
registered and make a plan to vote.
If you’re angry, you’re not alone. If you’re tired, you’re not alone.
Let’s turn that energy into action and make 2026 the year we start picking
up the pieces and putting our country back together.
In solidarity,
LeftNet
