Hey, Mikie Sherrill here – I just stepped off the stage after being sworn in as the 57th Governor of New Jersey!

I am profoundly grateful for the trust the people of New Jersey have put in me – and I’m committed to my mission to deliver for them every single day as governor. I’m also honored to be serving alongside 23 other Democratic governors nationwide, a total of TEN women governors – the most in history! But this victory isn’t the finish line. It’s the starting point.

Which is why my first ask to you as governor is simple: Will you take a moment to complete my 2026 Strategy Survey? Your input will shape the DGA’s strategy and help us prepare for the critical year ahead.

There are thirty-six governors' races up for election this November – meaning that 80% of the country will be casting a ballot for governor. In a time where Dem govs are the leaders who are moving our nation forward and standing strong against Donald Trump’s dangerous, divisive extremism – who serves you as governor has never mattered more.

I believe that leadership means listening to the people about what keeps them up at night – and I’m starting my administration the same way I won this race, by listening and taking action for the people I serve.
