What the Department of Homeland Security is doing in our communities is dangerous, immoral, and completely out of control.

Under Trump’s administration, dozens of people have already died as a result of ICE violence and detention. These are not isolated incidents. They are the predictable result of a system built on punishment, secrecy, and cruelty. A system that treats human beings as disposable.

This is not law and order, this is abuse of power.

What makes this even more outrageous is that DHS has been handed what amounts to an enormous blank check. Congress approved roughly $150 billion in taxpayer dollars, and instead of using those resources to keep communities safe, this administration has used them to enrich political allies and terrorize immigrant communities.

Now they want even more money.

Enough is enough. We cannot continue pouring money into an agency that operates without accountability while working families are told there’s “no funding” for health care, housing, education, or childcare. Our priorities are backwards, and our communities are paying the price.
