One year ago today, Donald Trump was sworn in to his second term as President of the United States.

I know this last year hasn’t been easy for any of us. Time and time again, we have watched as Donald Trump endangered national security, mistreated our troops and Veterans, took an ax to the federal government, gutted health care, and slashed programs that so many people rely on.

But let me be clear: I will continue to hold the Trump Administration accountable.

I will remain steadfast in my commitment to supporting our servicemembers and Veterans, and I will never stop working to protect reproductive rights.

The work ahead won’t be easy. But I hope you agree that defending our democracy is worth the effort.
