Let’s start the trading week with a chart showing how the rotation we’ve been seeing has been accelerating – and why that matters.

Chart of the Day

This is MAGS/RSP – the ratio of the Magnificent 7 ETF (MAGS) to the Equal-Weight S&P 500 Index (RSP).

Basically, the higher the ratio, the greater the Magnificent 7’s hold over the market – and the opposite if it’s lower.

The peak of the chart was in end-October – the last time the Nasdaq hit a new high.

Since then, the ratio has been falling – with the RSP recently hitting a new high.

This means that most stocks have been rising while Big Tech has been stagnant or falling.

This is clear evidence of the rotation that’s been quietly happening over the past couple months…

With the rotation accelerating over the past couple of weeks.

This chart captures it perfectly.

And it also creates a difficult – but extremely vital – question that all traders and investors should ask themselves.

I explain below.
