Tomorrow, we’ll officially be one year into Trump’s second presidency.

And, in just a few months, we face our most consequential midterm election yet — one that will determine whether our democracy remains intact in 2028.

Consider the damage Trump and his allies have done in the last 12 months:

  • Spent millions of taxpayer dollars on deploying federal troops to American cities.

  • Permitted the detention of lawful residents and the use of violence against American citizens.

  • Cut funding for necessary agencies, projects, and services, firing tens of thousands of federal workers in the process.

  • Gutted Medicaid, leaving millions of Americans unsure of where and how they’ll get health care for themselves and their families.

  • Urged Republicans to redraw their congressional districts to rig this year’s midterms in his favor.

  • Threatened to eliminate mail-in voting, challenged the independence of the FEC and longstanding campaign finance rules, and more in an attempt to dismantle our free and fair elections.

Team, we know the year was overwhelming and disheartening. But all hope is not lost — we can and will fight back.

The first step? Winning back our Democratic congressional majority this November.

In 2025, voters showed up all over the country, with Democrats winning or overperforming in nearly 90% of key races.

That didn’t happen by accident. Last year, we invested in Democratic state parties, held town halls, and organized everywhere. Now, we have to ramp up that work.

We just launched our largest-ever partisan voter registration program, a seven-figure investment in registering the next generation of Democratic voters. We’re continuing to invest in every single state party and organizing on the ground to make sure voters across the country are ready to turn out this November.
