ICE has built its power on secrecy, intimidation, and impunity. Masked agents, unmarked vehicles, and aggressive raids are designed to create fear while avoiding accountability. Our billboards cut straight through that strategy by telling the truth in plain language and by giving people a concrete, lawful way to respond.
First, we’re putting ICE on notice. Illegal conduct that breaks state law – like kidnapping, manslaughter, and murder – can be prosecuted, even when it is carried out by federal agents.
Next, we’re letting the public know the most effective way to report ICE when ICE agents break the law: Call 911.
Local emergency services are run by local governments. Every call is recorded. Those records cannot be erased, and they can be obtained by the media through public records requests.
Today, our billboards are up in Minnesota, but we’re ready to take this national. Cities like Portland, Los Angeles, and others are being terrorized by the same lawless tactics. These billboards work, and with enough support, we can put them everywhere ICE operates with impunity.
