Jack, On Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we honor a man who understood a
fundamental truth: Justice requires courage, and truth requires defenders.



Dr. King organized, exposed injustice, and demanded accountability from those
in power. He knew that silence in the face of cruelty was complicity.



Today, that lesson is as urgent as ever.



Across the country, families are being torn apart by ICE raids carried out in
the shadows. People are dying, and immigrants are dehumanized for political
gain. And a right-wing media machine works overtime to distort the
truth—portraying cruelty as “law and order” and resistance as chaos.



At Daily Kos, we refuse to accept that.



We tell the truth about what’s really happening. We expose abuses of power. We
amplify the voices of those fighting back—organizers, whistleblowers, and
everyday people demanding dignity and justice. But we don’t exist without the
