Amid the terror, one small hotel showed what a company resisting fascism can look like. The Lakeville Hampton Inn by Hilton cancelled ICE bookings. Not because it was full, but because management refused to aid state-sponsored violence.

Hilton corporate’s response? Execs chickened out and caved to the MAGA horde. They removed the Lakeville hotel from the Hilton website and distanced themselves from the decision, claiming it didn’t reflect Hilton’s “values.” 

So, what are those values? Fascism?

Right now, companies like Hilton are afraid of political backlash. But customers, workers, and shareholders can make or break the company’s future too. It’s time for us to make fear and shame change sides: Hilton must listen to us, the public, not Trump.

This isn’t just about a hotel booking. It’s about denying Trump’s stormtroopers the legitimacy, the space, the normalcy they rely on to operate with impunity. If ICE can’t book rooms, if corporate America starts saying “no,” it makes it impossible for ICE to spread fear and break our communities.
