On Wednesday, the House passed H.R. 7006, the Financial Services and General Government and National Security, Department of State, Related Programs Appropriations Act of 2026. This is how a strong Congress with America First principles is supposed to work. Congress is back to passing annual funding bills, which strengthens the institution and lets Republicans deliver policies that improve the lives of all Americans. Congress is fixing this long-broken process, restoring credibility, and getting the job done.

Last week, House Republicans introduced the Stop Insider Trading Act to hold elected officials accountable financially as they serve the American people. Following the bill's introduction, Speaker Johnson said, "No member of Congress should be allowed to profit from insider information, and this legislation represents an important step in our efforts to restore the people’s faith and trust in Congress."
