As celebrations to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. kick off today, it’s all eyes on Minnesota. Dr. King promoted solidarity amongst working people because he knew that freedom, safety, and a healthy democracy were only attainable when we confronted the profiteers of oppression, violence, and bigotry. His legacy lives in the faith, labor, and community groups of ICE Out MN who are demanding ICE end their campaign of violence and leave Minnesota. Stand with them in Dr. King’s honor.

Demands from ICE Out MN:

1. ICE must leave Minnesota now.

2. The officer who killed Good must be held legally accountable.

3. No additional federal funding for ICE in the upcoming Congressional budget and ICE should be investigated for human and Constitutional violations of Americans and our neighbors.

4. We call upon MN and National Companies to become 4th Amendment businesses, cease economic relations with ICE and refuse ICE entry or using their property for staging grounds. 

National Solidarity Actions

Leading up to the Day of Truth & Freedom on January 23rd (a statewide action calling for no work, no school, no shopping), organizers will hold daily actions, both local and national, to spotlight corporate complicity in the violation of constitutional and human rights. They need your help to spread the word! After you’ve taken action each day, use this link to encourage others to stand in solidarity.

Monday, January 19th: Target

Customs and Border Patrol assaulted and kidnapped two US citizens on January 8th while they were working a shift at the Richfield, MN Target store. On Sunday, January 11th, Customs and Border Patrol Chief Greg Bovino entered the Midway Target in Saint Paul, MN, along with a team of agents to apparently film propaganda. Target is Minnesota’s leading corporate citizen.

Last Friday faith leaders staged a sit in at Target HQ, and won a meeting with the Target CEO today. They need all of us to help win their demands: Tell Target: ICE OUT

Tuesday, January 20th: Home Depot

Home Depot has been allowing ICE in their parking lots and stores to question, attack and kidnap anyone they decide “looks like an immigrant”. Home Depot is a leading collaborator in creating the ‘show me your papers’ culture of this moment. Tell Home Depot: ICE OUT

Wednesday, January 21st: Enterprise

ICE has rented over 1,000 vehicles to carry out kidnappings from Enterprise in Minnesota, and even more nationwide. Tell Enterprise: ICE OUT

Thursday, January 22nd: Hilton

Hilton Hotels have not only continued to house ICE agents but caved to pressure by the far right to drop a franchise in Minneapolis that refused to allow ICE to stay in their hotel. Tell Hilton: ICE OUT

Friday, January 23rd: Delta

Delta is one of Minnesota’s leading corporate citizens, a significant employer in the state and uses the airport as one of its main US hubs. And they publicly supported OBBBA and donated $1,000,000 to Trump’s inauguration. Where Delta leads, others follow. Tell Delta: ICE OUT
