John,
A lot of people are writing to tell us the ICE is making them sick.
Headaches. Nausea. Sudden inability to tolerate authority figures in
tactical gear.
A few friends say their symptoms peak around January 20 at 2:00 pm local
time, at which point medical professionals recommend going home
immediately and spending time far from federal overreach.
Others report that in colder states like Minnesota, the ICE is especially
aggressive. So aggressive, in fact, that patients may be unable to attend
work, school, or participate in society at all on January 23. Experts call
this a normal response to prolonged exposure.
Public health officials stress this is not malingering. This is what
happens when your body rejects authoritarian nonsense like expired yogurt.
Sometimes the best way to step up is to walk out and stay home until the
symptoms pass and the people in charge remember they do not, in fact, own
you.
