Working Families Party

Hey, John — just checking in.

We know the last few weeks have been frightening.

ICE violence is escalating nationwide. In Minneapolis, an ICE agent shot and killed Renee Good. Days later, another ICE agent shot a man in the leg as he ran into his own home. People are being grabbed off the street without explanation. Unarmed protesters demanding justice are being met with tear gas, detentions, and brute force.

And while communities are being terrorized., Trump and Republican leaders aren’t calling for accountability. They’re doing the opposite.

They’re protecting ICE — smearing victims, sidestepping local investigations, and even threatening to invoke the Insurrection Act to call in troops against people demanding safety and justice. They’re signaling loud and clear that ICE can act with impunity and that dissent will be met with force.

We want to hear directly from you, both about how you are feeling in this moment, and how your elected leaders are responding. So we’ve put together a short WFP Supporter Survey asking:

  • How concerned are you that your family, friends, or community might be targeted by ICE?

  • How would you rate the response by Democratic leadership in Congress to ICE's escalations?

We read every single response, and we share what we learn directly with WFP leadership. This is how we make sure strategic decisions aren’t made in a vacuum — and that your experiences aren’t ignored.
