Folks – big banks are charging up to $41 for a single late credit card payment. That’s up to five times more than it actually costs them to collect it. It's messed up. 😡
This isn’t about responsibility. It’s about squeezing people for profit. And it’s wrong.
Families are already being crushed by the affordability crisis. Groceries cost more. Rent costs more. Utilities and medication cost more.
The last thing folks need is big banks and credit card companies gouging them with credit card late fees that make it harder to stay afloat, let alone get ahead.
That’s why John introduced the Credit Card Fairness Act. It caps late fees at $8 – because penalty fees shouldn’t be profit centers.
