Texas Leads in Airpower and Peace Through Strength
This week, I was honored to join Secretary of War Pete Hegseth and my North Texas colleagues for the Arsenal of Freedom tour at Lockheed Martin’s F-35 production facility in Fort Worth, Texas. These state-of-the-art aircraft, built right here in Texas, are a testament to America’s commitment to peace through strength.
Secretary Hegseth delivered a great message to the hardworking men and women on the production line; their work ensures our warfighters remain the best-equipped in the world.
Protecting National Security and Investment
This week, in the House Financial Services Committee, we held a hearing on the importance of preserving national security while ensuring the United States remains the best destination in the world for investment.
At the hearing, I questioned Assistant Secretary Pilkerton on how the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) balances scrutiny of foreign investments with our reputation for openness and economic opportunity.

Strengthening Our Food Supply
Great news for Texas farmers and producers: the U.S. Department of Agriculture announced its intent to purchase up to $80 million in specialty crops to distribute to food banks and nutrition assistance programs nationwide.
This purchase supports American agriculture and helps ensure that quality, U.S.-grown food reaches families in need. President Trump’s leadership continues to put farmers first and deliver real results for rural America.

Faith, Community, and Economic Opportunity
This week, I welcomed Pastor Jay Caprietta of Essential Church International to my Washington, D.C., office to talk about strengthening education, job creation, and economic opportunity in Texas-25 through faith-based and community partnerships.
In Case You Missed It
I joined Inside Texas Politics to discuss 2026 priorities in Congress, including affordability, small business opportunity, and access to capital.
I had a great conversation on SiriusXM - Stacy on the Right, where we discussed trade schools, workforce development, and why strong local leadership matters for America’s future.
I spoke on WBAP – The Morning News to discuss promoting trade schools and the economic outlook, including the auto industry and interest rates.
In God we trust,
Roger Williams
Member of Congress
