Hi John,
Can I share something with you? It’s one of my biggest frustrations with the Democratic Party.
Too often, Democrats talk a big game about “changing the system,” but then, they turn around and take money from the same corporations that bankroll Republicans.
Take DTE, for example, Michigan’s largest utilities company.
This is a company with a horrible reputation for ripping off Michiganders —
raising rates, tacking on junk fees, and delivering unreliable service — while padding profits.
And here’s the part that really gets me:
Democrats and Republicans in this race have taken DTE’s money. I’m the only candidate who hasn’t and never will. 👇

So when you hear any politician say they’re going to “upend the status quo,” you have to check the receipts.
Because if a Democrat is taking money from the same corporations that rip us off and fuel Republican campaigns, that’s not change. That’s two sides of the same coin.
John, I’m not running for Senate to play that game.
I’m running to actually take on corporate power. And because of that, I’m going to be targeted.
Corporate PACs don’t like candidates they can’t buy. The only way we win is with grassroots support.
If you can pitch in $10, $25, or whatever you can afford today, it would make a huge difference. We're building something different here, but we can only do it together.
