It’s officially the Election Year.
And it serves as a critical reminder that the most important job of any elected official is listening to the people they represent —
really listening — and we should expect the same from any candidate running for public office.
That’s why I’ve been crisscrossing the state, holding town halls, attending local Democratic club meetings, meeting with local leaders and organizations, and it’s why I'm regularly checking in with you right now.
The only way to know what you’re concerned about is to let me know, so I can address what matters most to you on the campaign trail, and with your support, take your priorities with me to Augusta.
Please take a few seconds to complete this quick survey. The only way I can tackle the issues you’re most concerned about is if you let me know what they are.
We must fix housing, fund health care, feed kids, fuel growth, and fight back against the overreaches of the Trump administration.
These are big problems — ones that require a leader with a unique set of skills and a clear vision for how we can overcome them to provide the opportunities Mainers need to build a better life.
As Maine’s CDC Director, I led through through one of the most challenging times in our state’s history with empathy, clarity, and resilience. And I’ll bring those same values with me to Augusta to tackle the problems you’re facing. But to do that, I need to know what they are.
Please complete our quick survey to let me know the challenges you are facing. It’s only a couple questions, and it will help me understand which issues matter most to you.
You’ve trusted me to deliver during uncertain times before, and now I’m asking you to trust me with your concerns, so I can deliver for you again.
I can’t wait to read your response.

Hi. It’s Nirav Shah. You may remember me from my work as Maine's CDC Director, when I led our state through the uncertainty of the pandemic.
I saw firsthand how we can get through tough times together with empathy, resilience, and vision. And I’ll bring those same values with me to Augusta to tackle the big problems. But to do that, I’m relying on grassroots supporters like you to power our campaign so we can compete in this race.
The challenges our state faces require a leader with a unique set of skills and a clear vision for how Mainers can build a better life.
You’ve trusted me to deliver amid uncertainty before, and now I’m asking for your trust again.
— Nirav
