Too many families in our community know the devastation of a wildfire firsthand.

Often, what stands between a small ignition and a catastrophic fire is time—the time it takes to detect a threat, deploy resources, and put firefighters on the ground.

I was glad to speak on my Wildfire Response and Preparedness Act at this week’s Natural Resources Committee hearing. Let’s build momentum and get this lifesaving legislation across the finish line.

Critical minerals power everything from our smartphones to our fighter jets. America should mine, process, and dominate these supply chains—not hand them over to China.

This week, I was proud to the DOMINANCE Act to break China’s chokehold on critical minerals, strengthen every link in our supply chain, and unleash America’s energy future. 

This week, I was proud to advance a responsible funding package that strengthens our national security and refocuses Washington’s attentions on delivering results for families across our community. This legislation will strengthen U.S. national security, rein in wasteful spending, and advance key local priorities for California’s 40th District.

If we want to control our critical minerals supply chain, we need to strengthen every link—so China can never break it.

I’m fighting to take back our supply chains and unleash America’s energy future.
