There were some unforeseen circumstances this morning that kept the van from hitting the road as planned.
Our friends at BARK Rescue are now gearing up to roll out early tomorrow morning instead.
They’ll be heading straight from Texas to Iowa, and if all goes smoothly, they’ll arrive late tomorrow afternoon.
This second leg has 30 dogs, including 10 who were added last-minute because they couldn’t wait any longer.
Because this expansion was urgent and unexpected, we’re still racing to meet our funding goal for the journey.
We need your help to get these 30 pups across the finish line:
1.) Help fund the trip: With 10 extra seats filled, our fuel and transport costs have increased. Your support ensures no dog is left behind on the road.
2.) Send a Care Package: Make sure they arrive to a warm blanket, a toy, 20 life-saving meals, and treats.
By this time tomorrow, these dogs will be breathing in fresh Iowa air and stepping into their very first moments of safety and love.
