This Black Eagle $1 bill is a historic U.S. banknote officially known as the 1899 $1 Silver Certificate. It's one of the most iconic and collectible U.S. currency designs because it features an American Eagle clutching the American Flag in the middle and two Presidents, Abraham Lincoln and Ulysses S. Grant.
It gets the name from the large black eagle prominently displayed in the center of the bill, with its wings spread over two portraits.
