I’m sure you agree that far too many women are struggling to stay afloat in the Trump economy.
From rising grocery prices to the gender wage gap, child and health care costs, and the steep price of education, it has become increasingly difficult to make ends meet as a woman today.
I know it doesn’t have to stay this way—and that’s why I’m sending you this message.
NOW is fighting back against the growing economic challenges and inequalities women are facing—and I need you with us in this fight.
As we begin our 60th Anniversary Year, our chapters are already mobilizing in communities across the country to create the groundswell of support needed to pass legislation at the state and federal levels that allows women to sustain themselves and their families. This includes re-funding critical programs like SNAP and WIC, advocating for student loan forgiveness, making progress on equal pay and a universal living wage, and addressing the pink tax and predatory lending practices.
We’re also leveraging the power of community by collaborating with local leaders and partner organizations to strengthen mutual aid projects, including food and clothing drives, abortion funds, childcare networks, menstrual product drives, and rides to polling locations.
While we are facing many monumental challenges, I want you to know that NOW is fighting back because economic justice is a human right.
