Call for 2026 Earth Day Award nominations

Submit an Earth Day Award nomination

Each year, the Kitsap County Board of Commissioners and the Public Works Solid Waste Division present Earth Day Awards to recognize environmental stewardship. We invite you to nominate individuals or groups who help protect and preserve Kitsap’s environment.

Submit a nomination at kcowa.us/earthday [ [link removed] ] by 11:59 p.m. PST on March 20, 2026.

Who can receive an Earth Day Award?

Nominees do not need to live in Kitsap County, but their efforts must take place in Kitsap County.

You can nominate:


* Individuals
* Schools or teachers
* Groups or organizations
* Businesses
* Youth

We’ll celebrate award recipients at the Board of County Commissioners meeting on April 13, 2026. Details on attending the event in-person or virtually will be shared in April.
