Unfortunately, Trump has taken the nation in the polar opposite direction launching hyper-partisan gerrymanders in red states to ensure that the GOP is able to steal enough seats to prevent a loss in the 2026 midterms. Right now their plan is working:     Coloradans tried to play fair and set an example but MAGA has no interest in playing by the rules. Trump launched this redistricting strategy under the full expectation that Democrats would not push back. California and Virginia proved him wrong but more states must follow if we hope to save the blue wave that was supposed to be forming prior to MAGA’s gerrymandering effort. This is why Coloradans are choosing to fight fire with fire and nuke their independent redistricting committee via the ballot initiative that Colorado Draws the Line is working to pass.
