I want to share a quick but important update with you.

The Cook Political Report just shifted nearly every New York congressional race to be more Democratic.

Nearly every race.

Except two. Mine was one of them. 

That tells you everything you need to know about how competitive NY-03 is going to be.

While other districts are moving in a safer direction, national Republicans are keeping their sights locked on us. They see this seat as one of their best pickup opportunities, and they’re already preparing to spend millions to try to flip it.

I’ve won here before by building a broad coalition of Democrats, Independents, and Republicans who want common-sense leadership. That approach works, but it also means this race will always be tough, expensive, and closely watched.

If the experts are saying our race didn’t get easier while others did, we need to take that seriously and make sure we’re ready.

That starts with building the strongest possible campaign now, before the attacks ramp up even more.
