Violent crime is down to near historic lows, we’re cleaning and greening neighborhoods block by block, we’re investing in education so our children have the same opportunities as students anywhere in this country, and we’re taking real, measurable action to end street homelessness, including bringing 1,000 new shelter beds online.

This progress didn’t happen by accident. It happened because we stayed focused, we worked together, and we chose action over excuses. But let me be clear: the work is far from finished.
