I recently went on the popular MeatEater podcast to talk about all things Iowa, share some hunting stories, and even explain what it is that a State Auditor does.

We also obviously talked about the governor’s race here in Iowa, too, but in a way that didn’t feel inherently political:

Going on this podcast was a great experience, and not just because I got to speak to some folks who might not have otherwise followed my campaign or this race. That’s only part of it.

But because it demonstrates how we can discuss complicated issues in a nonpartisan way, and without getting hot under the collar.

I’ll have another plateful of that, please.
