John, apologies for the early email! I was sipping on my morning coffee before heading out for the day, but I had to give a status update to my team’s top supporters.

I just got a fundraising update from my team, and the truth is our mid-month fundraising numbers aren’t quite where they should be.

Here’s the good news: a whole lot of folks have stepped up since we emailed earlier this week! This team has never let me down before, so it means a lot that so many of you have risen to the occasion to help us out.

I’ll level with you. We’re the underdogs in this race against Zach Nunn. Iowa has a red tilt, and he has Donald Trump, Elon Musk, and a whole host of GOP megadonors on his side. But I’ve never let a challenge stop me from trying, and I won my last race by just 29 votes.

I was only able to win because a whole lot of folks like you devoted their time, energy, and resources to something they cared about. And that’s exactly how we’ll win this race, too.

Together, we have what it takes to win in Iowa’s Third District and help flip the House blue, too. We have the energy to win and start a blue wave in Iowa; now we just need the resources to pull it off.

So I’m turning to you personally, John. With just a few hours to go until we end our mid-January fundraising push, can you donate to my campaign? We need to do whatever we can to win here in Iowa and stop MAGA extremists like Zach Nunn.
